Kevin Frytz

I am an engineer/producer/songwriter that is currently living in the Chicagoland area. The primary studio I work out of is V Note Studios (www.facebook.com/vnotestudios) which is located in Des Plaines, IL, but I also do a lot of work out of a friend's home studio and have a small home set up as well. I also have access to a few of the larger rooms in the area as well (i.e. Studio Chicago, Rax Trax, Planet10, Engine) depending on if the project/budget calls for it. I graduated from the Institute of Production and Recording, located in Minneapolis, in the spring of 2008. During my time at IPR I received training on multiple analog and digital consoles/worksurfaces and also obtained my Avid Pro Tools Operator Certification in Music. Since graduating I moved back to the Chicagoland area and have worked on producing and engineering a variety of projects. A friend and I have been working on writing/producing songs for a few different artists spanning genres such as acoustic-singer/songwriter music, soft rock, pop, hard rock, metal, hip-hop/rap, and electronica. Some artists that I have worked with in the past include: Beneath Me, Liar vs. Lawyer, The Coma Boys, Sevengreens, Audio Violence, Animal Factory, Smalltime, Word, Ideal, Lake Effect, Waste Basket and Esco. I would love to work with anybody who needs help arranging/composing, adding additional instrumentation to their songs, or just needs recording/editing/mixing done.
