Wes Lauzen

35 yr old country vocalist, deep rich lows, full midrange, thinner highs, but solid.
Modest bio: I am primarily a singer, but also a lightly skilled rhythm guitarist (strum chords, some simple finger picking). I have never heard anything but praise for my style and vocals though. Placed highly in and won a few contests (one national), played in quite a few shows for fun. No samples posted on the web yet, but will post soon. I do have a few audio examples of my vocals I can email if you would like samples. Do not have home studio per-se, but can do demo recording with vocals and simple guitar accompanyment from lead sheets or sheet music with chords. Could also just record vocal track in mp3 to use with your seperate accompanyment (provided by you for my recording purposes) in a seperate mix. New to this, but am a seasoned, experienced singer.

John O'Reilly

Do you need drum tracks? I'm a professional drummer with a recording studio where I can record high-quality drum tracks for your music. I've played with lots of great artists: fun., The Format, Reubens Accomplice, Mandy Moore, Jimmy Eat World, Rachael Yamagata, Schuyler Fisk, Ben Lee, Percy Jones, Wayne Krantz, and may others. The recording process is extremely simple: you send me a song recorded to a click, I record drums for it, I send you an mp3 for your approval, we make any changes you'd like until you're completely satisfied, then I send you the final full-resolution tracks. I can provide raw multi-tracks if you'll be doing the mixing yourself or a stereo mix (for an extra mixing fee) if you'd rather just drop the drums into your song without having to worry about mixing. Check out my website, listed here, to hear examples of what I can do here at my studio along with lots of other audio/video examples of my playing. Trust me, what I can provide will sound WAY better and more natural than any MIDI drum programming or loop wrangling you can do on your own, and it'll save you A TON of time. My service will cost you a lot less money than going into a studio yourself, since you're only paying me (and not the studio, or the engineer, or cartage, etc.), plus, you don't pay anything until you're completely satisfied with what I've recorded. Getting great-sounding drums on your music is the first step to a professional-grade recording. Don't hesitate! Get in touch with me now and you'll have drum tracks for your music within a few days!! I hope to hear from you...

Samantha Liggins

Samantha Elice Liggins has been singing all her life. She wrote her 1st song when she was only 9 years old. She had her 1st solo when she was 11 years old at Greenwood CME Church. Elice knew from the moment she saw an older girl sing at her church (which she later found out that older girl was K. Michelle) that she was meant to be a singer as well. In that same year she wrote her second song called "It's Time For You and Me To Get Together". Elice also sang in her elementary and middle school choirs. In 2001, she sang in her school talent show with 2 of her good friends. They sung a gospel melody that was also performed by Destiny's Child, Elice's favorite group. The next year she won 3rd place in a local radio station's (K-97) talent showcase. In 2004 she performed for the Grand Opening of the "Boom Boom Room". In 2005 she performed in Southwest Tennessee Community College Talent Showcase. The next year she performed at Issac Hayes Dinner Restaurant and at The Complex representing Rowhajac Records Inc. Later she became a regular performer at the "Soul Cafe". The next move was to make a demo and now that's what she is currently working on. So keep your ears open.

Bohiti

poet – lyricist – songwriter - vocalist

Poetry, spoken word, and musicianship are artistic forces undergoing a remarkable renaissance in the City of Brotherly Love. Bohiti, a part of this renaissance in is known for his poetry and spoken word skills, Bohiti is also a talented graphic artist and a songwriter.

Bohiti’s journey through the Philadelphia cultural renaissance began at a well known haven and incubator for the “soon to be discovered”, known as the Silk City Lounge located in the Northern Liberties section of Philadelphia. There he discovered that Philadelphia was experiencing a resurgence in music, art, poetry and spoken word. Networking proving to be an invaluable competency, Bohiti learned about the October Gallery, an African American owned art gallery in Old City Philadelphia, and was introduced to the poetry/spoken word scene from an African American perspective. Identifying with his Afro-Taino roots, he felt at home amongst some of Philadelphia’s finest rising poets including Rich Medina, Trapeta Mayson and Jill Scott. Becoming a part of the growing scene, Bohiti was a frequent participant in the October Gallery’s poetry gatherings and other events around the city. He now shares his music

Musically reared on the Beatles, James Brown and Hip-Hop, Bohiti is appreciative of the diversity found within the musical language. Bohiti met Jafar Barron, a talented trumpet/cornet player with a rich Jazz upbringing, and was exposed to the Acid-Jazz/Free-Bop sound that Jafar was introducing to Philadelphia club goers. Ultimately, after years of serving as Jafar’s manager, Bohiti was able to contribute to Jafar’s debut album as a leader, entitled, Jafar Barron - The Free Bop Movement (Q/Alafia/Atlantic). Bohiti’s contribution as a songwriter and a vocalist to this now classic CD only fueled his desire to do more musical projects. He has collaborated with Ian Riddle (DJ Jolah) and his Bomb Congress - open mic/breakbeat event held in Old City Philadelphia and has made numerous hosting appearances at BMI’s Wordsmith Sundays in Greenwich Village, New York City. His vocals have been used on tracks made by House music icons Andy Compton, Rob Paine & Willyum, and Kelvin K and seeks more collaborations.

Jonathan Palmer

I have an albums worth of material on my home studio console. I can hear which songs on the radio will be number one or not and i have been tested with it a number of times. I have had this ability since I was young. When I sobered up I realized that most of the music on the radio didnt touch me anymore so I set out, with some proding, to write my own songs. I have had one complaint by a fellow musician (my guitar riff was "too long") but I have also used my songs to get into 2 different bands. I have been trying to get my album recorded for years now but its either funds or time that Im lacking. I ADMIT! I HAVE NO FORMAL TRAINING!!! I cant read music (and so far I refuse to and we can talk about that later) I have passion, creativity, discipline, respect, high standards, and integrity (that last one keeps killing me) If a song sucks I can feel it. If its good (not by mtv standards but by musical and songwriting standards) it moves me. How does an artist give themself a biography? kurt cobain and billy corgan are some of the greatest artists of all time and yet they couldnt sing to save their life but THEY UNDERSTAND ART!!! I UNDERSTAND ART. its a language to me. Im not an entertainer although I am said to be entertaining. I am an artist. It took me a long time to understand that. thats why i cant succeed at anything else. an artist will never be good at a cubicle job. their mind doesnt work that way. we can force ourselves to endure but we will never thrive. i am truly in my element when i can sit down with my guitar or paintbrush and let it go. my soul is satisfied.

Darrell Wallace

My name is Darrell Wallace and I play guitars, as well as a few other instruments including Dobro, lap-steel, mandolin, and a bit of violin. My Grandmother gave me my first guitar when I was six and dragged me on-stage at her Pentecostal Church where I learned to play. In spite of their religious fervor that never quite took with me, those people could Rock! My roots were in gospel bluegrass but eventually morphed into rock and roll, Blues, then classical and fusion.
My first professional recording session was with the legendary Carl Perkins and took place in his home in Jackson, Tennessee. Carl’s youngest son, Greg was bassist in one of my earliest working bands, Capricorn. I played lead guitar in the eight-piece rock fusion ensemble, Pearl, during the late seventies before moving back to Memphis to co-publish Memphis Original Music Magazine with M.T. Kitchens and perform as half the acoustic duo , Slider and Kingfish. After a stint as a studio musician in Nashville and Jacksonville, Florida, I hosted a song writers night at Jacksonville’s Bluebird Club and eventually hosted a weekly live radio broadcast from there called “Live at the Bluebird”. I performed with several nationally recognized acts there, including Guy Clark, Billy Joe Shaver, Steve Forbert, and Don Oja Dunaway and was front for the road show “Jax Seacattleman’s Association Meetings” with my ensemble “The Seacowboys”. I also toured with a “Cowboy” band and a gang of legitimate cowboy poets and played several performances at the Olympic Games in Atlanta, Georgia.
While my influences may lean heavily towards Steve Howe of Yes, Jerry Garcia, David Gilmore, and Ry Cooder, I have a singularly unique approach to acoustic guitars that lends itself quite well to the music I write and perform. I seldom do covers, much preferring to do my own music but if I do cover someone else’s song, it will be as my personal interpretation and never as a parrot. My belief is that if someone wants to listen to a song as done by the original artist, buy the record.
I am a lyricist and a poet and tend to write very dark music with the desired results being to create an emotional impact. I do not wish to play in a venue that places my music as background to some bubba getting laid. That is why I have pulled together The Mississippi River Crooks; we intend to steal your soul.

Shannon Richardson

Shannon Richardson grew up in the Chicago suburbs proving to be quite the artist at a young age. He made his first vocal recordings when he was 4 with his Grandmother and wrote his first short story at the age of six. However it wasn't until around eleven that he got his first guitar. From this point on he began to really practice and learn how to play guitar but it wasn't until several years later that he figured out he could sing and write his own lyrics and write his own original songs with his creative guitar parts. Once Shannon got into the groove of writing tunes music took over his life like a brushfire. He began to devote every available hour writing new songs, polishing his guitar as well as vocal work and learning with every piece of recording equipment he could get his hands on. He went on to write, produce and record many solo albums., Soon he began putting bands together and playing his songs out live wherever he could. He still continues to polish his vocal, songwriting, guitar, performance and recording skills and currently lives and plays in Chicago with his band (Shannon Richardson Band) and is pursuing any worthwhile opportunities he can find. In particular, radio play, publishers, record deals, new fans, studio time, photographers, videographers, mixers, mastering engineers, sponsors, venues, publicists, managers and really anyone that can lend a helping hand or would like to be a part of this life and library of songs and music. Ride your dreams until they're broken. Shannon Richardson www.reverbnation.com/shannonrichardson www.shannonrichardsonband.com
