Jay Hart

Jay Hart

Josiah Hart started out in Jefferson City, Missouri. He began playing guitar in his basement to the radio, learning songs and learning to sing and play guitar simultaneously. While guitar had been a huge passion of his, so was singing.

Before moving, Josiah began playing every instrument, as well as guitar and vocals. He picked up drums, bass and a little piano in his home church in Missouri, before the next events in his life took place.

With many artists he loved following this same path, he began making his way, but, only many years later after moving to the state of Minnesota.

Life was hard at first, adjusting to everything a new state brings...including a new life. With so many things going wrong in his life, he knew he could only look to the one thing that was going right in his life...music. He became more proficient in drums and bass through his new church which gave him a lot of time to practice when he became a music leader in the youth groups, there.

Josiah Hart began attending McNally Smith College Of Music in St. Paul, MN immediately after high school. He pursued guitar performance and vocal performance. During this time, a lot was happening that helped make him into who he is today...a musician unlike any other. One that refused to back down and wouldn't go without his voice being heard in the music world.

Through McNally, Jay learned how to play piano proficiently, musical theory and multiple techniques and sounds for guitar performance.

His guitar style is unlike any other, to this day. Each solo is said to reflect his insides regarding the song's subject. Each descent of notes takes you down with him and each ascent builds up the angst and power which got him through every situation.

After the solo project's first show in February, Jay Hart was widely received! The combination of guitar solos, catchy choruses and lyrics caught ears in the physical audience AND the internet audience! After releasing his new single "Don't Leave Me Here" in late February 2011, the song was listened to on YouTube AND on MySpace a collective of 200+ listens/views!

Many different artists contribute to the sound of Jay Hart, ranging from pop to blues, country to techno, rap/hip-hop to metal. Listeners will not know what to expect when the new CD hits the airwaves.

Jay Hart's self-titled, self-produced, self-recorded album is set to hit CD format and iTunes early July 2011.

As the new album is getting closer and closer to being releaseed, Jay Hart plans the next step. With a second show coming up on June 13th, an album release party, a photoshoot, music video shoot and an interview/documentary shoot with local business, Minnesota-Swag, the world can only watch as one of it's very own take off into this huge world of music...something he's been struggling for and known he was destined for for years..
